COMMUNITY DAY - WEDNESDAY
Nov
04
35 Carruthers Rd
15:00 – 17:00
Come connect with the land, meet good people and contribute to something growing. Every Wednesday and Sunday afternoon, we come together at our West Woombye land to care for the place, learn from nature and contribute to the Yarn & Yield community. Community days are about more than getting things done. They’re a chance to spend time outdoors, share skills and knowledge, learn from one another, and build the connections that help people and nature thrive together. There are always things to do, whether it’s tending garden beds, planting, caring for the land, working on a project or simply discovering what’s happening around us. You don’t need to arrive with a plan or particular skills. We’ll work out what needs doing and how we can contribute together. Yarn & Yield is creating the conditions for a regenerative future, where people, land, and local economies regenerate one another. Every time we come together, we’re putting that idea into practice. What to bring: A water bottle, sun protection, enclosed shoes and a willingness to get involved. Bring your curiosity, too! Location: Access is from 35A Carruthers Road, just past the house marked 35.   Parking: Due to all the rain, it is quite muddy; please be careful where you park.  If you have no mobility issues, park at the top and walk down.  Be careful; the driveway can get slippery with all the rain.  Find the steps beside the driveway.  There is limited parking due to the wet soil (mud) at the end of the driveway.   Land Care Agreement: Everyone who comes onto the land agrees to care for themselves, each other and the land. Please read our Land Care Agreement before you come. You’ll be asked to tick that you agree when you register. Photos: Photos are sometimes taken at Community Days. If you’d rather not be in them, just let us know on the day. Whether you’re a member or simply curious about what we’re creating, we’d love to see you. Come as you are.
